No. Both Genesis Noir and Nirvana Noir are written to be enjoyed and understood on their own. If you've played Genesis Noir the additional references and background on the characters might make for a richer experience of Nirvana Noir but, if not, your experience of Nirvana Noir won't be negatively impacted at all. You could even play them in reverse order - time is not a constant!
